Andy Golding is a seasoned and dynamic leader in both education and sport, bringing over 30 years of experience in post-16 and Higher Education as a Lecturer, Director, Principal, and founder of a global Training and Education Solutions company. His career reflects a rare blend of academic rigour, executive leadership, and sporting excellence, underpinned by a deep commitment to using sport as a transformative force in young people’s lives.

An accomplished former athlete, Andy’s sporting background includes playing rugby at county (Middlesex U21), divisional (London), senior club, and National League levels. His early retirement due to injury did not diminish his passion for the game—he went on to hold influential roles as a Rugby Head Coach, Director of Rugby, and Chairman. He also boasts a strong cricketing pedigree, having represented Middlesex at junior county and school levels and played competitively in the Thames Valley and Kent leagues.

Andy’s professional journey has evolved into a distinguished academic and consultancy career. He is a respected lecturer in Sports Business, Sports Law, and Governance at UCFB, the pioneering higher education institution based at Wembley Stadium. His contributions extend to postgraduate education through the MSc in Sports Directorship programme, where he equips future leaders in sport with critical knowledge and strategic insight. A published researcher and thought leader, Andy has co-authored key reports on the financial sustainability of professional rugby and contributed expert analysis to sector-specific finance reports, including those on Premiership Rugby and county cricket.

His governance and leadership credentials are further demonstrated through his role as Trustee of the Kent Cricket Youth Trust and as a Non-Executive Director of FC Inter London—an organisation using football to support the integration of displaced Ukrainian families in the UK. Andy is also a Board Advisor to the Sports and Entertainment Division of the House of Luxury Group, where he helps shape innovative and sustainable models for the future of global sport.
